Fuse Boards

Replacing/Upgrading Fuse Boards

Fuse Boards or Consumer Units are the hub of your electrical installation. Fuse boards protect all the different circuits from overloading the wiring and protecting you and your family from electrocution, and potential electrical fires.

New Modern Fuse Boards

A revolutionised fuse board decreases the risk of major problems, it has the ability to detect wiring faults which in turn, disconnects the electricity flow before any heat builds up.

At Bright Spark, all our new fuse boards incorporate RCD’s / RCBO's (Residual Current Devices), this is a safety device intended to protect you & your family against personal electric shocks.

Old Fuse Boards

Older fuse boards include a piece of fuse wire between two blades that need replacing every time there was a short circuit. Many people struggle and get frustrated to replace these fiddly wires. These fuse boards fall below the industry standards and are due for an upgrade now! At Bright Spark, if you are considering a home extension, or additional installations, they will review your existing fuse boards free of charge to ensure they comply with industry standards for your safety, and your piece of mind.

If you are looking for a fuse board upgrade, at Bright Spark we are NICEIC registered Domestic & Commercial Electricians with the knowledge and experience to provide you a comprehensive service. Karen recently came to our place on a Sunday afternoon when our kitchen suddenly lost all power. She found and fixed the problem with the breaker very quickly, and also checked the others. She did a great job and we were very pleased to get it fixed so quickly! I recommend her to friends, and will definitely call her the next time we need an electrician.

You just saved us the biggest headache ever; after months of electrical problems ( now resolved), we had a ‘no power situation’. After checking circuit boards, switches etc we were at a complete loss. Read your piece above (after Googling ‘circuit board switches up, but no power‘) about RCD switch and resetting (didn’t know what an RCD was), and after 8 hours sleep dreaming of circuit boards and 2 minutes of contemplation, and re-reading your advice,I totally nailed it. Brilliant tutorial, many thanks. Susanne (I am neither young nor savvy with anything technical)

Wonderful Job - Thank you very much

Thank you for sending us Phil to restore light to all corners of our home. Most agreeable and efficient gentleman who didn't flinch visibly at the dusty mysterious corners where ancient wires lay in ceiling space and appliances wired from the dark ages.

"Miss Moneypenny" - Lamberhurst

We used Bright Sparks to resolve some electrical problems. They succeeded where previous electricians failed! We found them to be reliable, courteous and fairly priced.
